For 30 years, Java has been shaping the IT world with a seemingly endless series of terms, abbreviations and technologies. Based on real-life anecdotes, we take a look back at the most important stages of Java. Was everything better in the past or are the language, platform and ecosystem still improving? What has survived to this day and where are we glad that things are different today? In addition to the challenges of the past 30 years, we also take a look into the future: What can we expect in the Java world of tomorrow?
